I agree with you on Biden. More to the point, the pro-Palestinian movement in the US kicked him out of office. But you should withhold judgment on Kamala Harris for awhile. She is not Joe Biden. I worked under her when she was a DA, and watched her as the Attorney General of California. I don't know if she is personally strong enough to push back against the various lobbies--likely not--but she is not a neo-con and she is not Trump in other clothing. Biden chose her as a VP because she is a woman and has African heritage and is progressive. It was optics. She is also from the Bay Area and is much more sophisticated about Israel. Whatever happens, she is twice as intelligent as either Biden or Trump, very well-educated which neither of them is, with an international perspective (her mom is Indian), very professional which Trump obviously is not, and competent. She's not woke but she is liberal and that Biden definitely is not. Also Bush Jr. was not elected--neither election. His administration kept the legal challenges against that "win" in the courts until he had left the White House eight years later. She will not give Israel a blank check. You don't really know anything about her. The Biden advisors had her giggling, for god's sakes, to make her less threatening to the male electorate. I was quite astonished. I had never seen her behave like that. She's a fucking serious person--not a bimbo. And Biden kept her out of the spotlight for a reason--he's a total narcissist and did not allow her to act on her own because she is worth ten of him. She pushed back at the Israels and was roundly slapped down by that administration. She was used by Biden to pacify people on the border and ended up looking ridiculous. But she was doing as he asked--not acting from her own political instincts. She's been dealing with immigration from the south her whole life. San Francisco, where she's from, is a fucking sanctuary city and was so when she was DA and Attorney General. I would NEVER vote for Biden. But I would be willing to vote for Kamala Harris because I want to keep Trump out of the White House. He was incompetent as a young man and he's obviously got dementia on top of that now. The Christian Right are a serious danger to the U.S. now, as well as to Palestine. And she isn't a Zionist. I don't think so. I'm not voting for anyone who is pro-Israeli, no matter what, so I might have to eat my words. I don't see a vote for an independent as much of an option. Jill Stein is the only option and I don't think she can stand up to the deep state or the various lobbies. So I'm very please, at least for the moment, that Harris is an option. Stop trashing her, at least until you have something solid to trash her on. She had the guts, as a DA, to give a man who could have gotten the death penalty a life sentence. And got a lot of heat for that. When Harris start speaking from her authentic self, she will leave Trump in the dust. You'll still criticize her for not being left enough (and likely so will I), but this is a breath of fresh air. And a near miss.
